About Me

Hey, I’m Zoe!
Welcome to my website, Mind Gold with Ms. Rheingold!

My Passion

I am passionate about helping new and early career educators grasp their curriculum with ease.
For the past four years, I’ve been an elementary teacher doing all the things, including building
my classroom, my resources, my teaching certifications, knowledge of pedagogy,
comprehensive website, and teachers pay teachers store! Now, after gaining experience in the
education field, here I am, ready to share the content I have created in order to simply and
streamline other teachers’ lives.

My Story

Let me tell you a bit more about myself and starting my teaching career in a truly
unconventional way. I went to Ithaca College from 2011-2015 and graduated as a Political
Science major with a minor in Marketing Communications. I then moved to Washington, DC
thinking I would pursue a career in nonprofit work with housing. Just about four years ago, in
August of 2016, I ended up attending a job fair that I thought was for part time substitute work.
Turns out, this was a job fair for full time teacher positions, which I worried I was not qualified
for! But, I had previously worked at an overnight summer camp for four years, worked for a
nanny agency, tutored, and generally spent so much time with kids! As a recent graduate, I was
sent in to a room full of principals and told myself I would be my best Zoe self and see what
happens. Well, that day I walked out with a full time teaching job and within the next two
weeks I was in the classroom trying to learn everything as fast as I could.
After getting fully certified and going through the resident teacher program, now I have just
finished my National Board Certification and become much more well versed in the education
field. After being a leader on the Early Career Educators Committee, I began seeing a need for
new and early career educators getting more support in the classroom. I so often felt I had to
teach myself the curriculum, things were overwhelming and unexplained, professional
development was not focused on what I truly needed, and it was hard to know where to start
and what to do next! Have you ever found yourself feeling this way? If so, then you are in the
right place. My goal is to help new and early career educators feel more confident in their
abilities by creating content that can be easily implemented.

My Hobbies

When I’m not teaching, you can find me enjoying the outdoors with a run, hike, or bike,
traveling, hanging out with friends, listening to my favorite music playlist, and playing with
clothes, makeup, and jewelry!
